A single bulb sits inside the shade.
An E14 socket accepts an LED, incandescent, or fluorescent bulb of the installer's choosing, so brightness and color temperature adjust to the room rather than being fixed. The glass shade softens whatever bulb is installed into an even glow well suited to a living room accent wall or a bedside reading spot, without the bulb itself sitting exposed.
